1.Performance and use:

Use:4-Methyl-2-pentanol is an excellent mid-boiling point solvent. Mainly used as a solvent for dyestuffs, petroleum, rubber, resin, paraffin, nitrocellulose and ethyl cellulose, etc. It is used as an inert solvent for nitrocellulose lacquer, which can increase the luster and flatness of the paint and improve the performance of reddish colour; and is used as a solvent for the manufacture of lubricant additives, etc. It is also used for brake fluid. Used as raw material for organic synthesis, mineral flotation detergent, such as extraction of silica and copper sulfate ore; also used in brake fluid.
