1.Performance and use:
When used as a solvent, it has the characteristics of high boiling point, stability and pleasant odour. Solubility is similar to cyclohexanone, and can dissolve nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate, vinyl resin, coumarone resin, alkyd resin, glycerol alkyd resin and so on. It is often mixed with ethanol, ketone, ester and other solvents. When used as spice, it is the raw material for the blending of hawthorn, mimosa, lilac and other flavours, and is widely used in soap flavour and tobacco flavour. It is used in the synthesis of phenyl glycolic acid, α-phenylindole, isobutylphenylpropionic acid, etc. It is also used as plasticiser for plastics.
