Product Description

1. Product Performance
HEDP-Na is an organophosphonic acid scale and corrosion inhibitor, which can form stable complexes with iron, copper, zinc and other metal ions, and can dissolve the oxides on the metal surface. It can still play a good role in corrosion and scale inhibition at 250ºC, and it is still stable at high pH, not easy to be hydrolysed, and not easy to be decomposed under general light and heat conditions. Acid and alkali resistance, chlorine oxidation resistance is better than other organic phosphonic acid (salt). It can form hexacyclic chelates with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, thus it has better scale inhibition effect and obvious solubility limitation effect, and it shows ideal synergistic effect when used in combination with other water treatment agents.
HEDP-Na is suitable for acidic formulations of scale inhibitors and detergents, HEDP-Na is a monosodium salt of hydroxyethylidene diphosphonic acid, which is suitable for metal cleaning, metal treatment and metal ion control applications.
HEDP-Na is widely used as scale and corrosion inhibitor for circulating cooling water system and medium and low pressure boiler in electric power, chemical industry, metallurgy, fertilizer and other industries, as well as for oil field water injection and oil pipeline; HEDP-Na can be used as metal and non-metal detergent in light textile industry, peroxide stabilizer and colour fixing agent in bleaching and dyeing industry, and complexing agent in cyanide-free electroplating industry.

2. Usage
As scale inhibitor, it is generally used in the concentration of 2~20mg/L, as corrosion inhibitor, it is generally used in the concentration of 20-100mg/L, and as cleaning agent, it is generally used in the concentration of 1000-2000mg/L. It is usually used in combination with polycarboxylic acid-type scale inhibitor and dispersant.

HEDP-Na is packed in plastic drums, 30kg or 250kg per drum, or according to the needs of users. It can be stored in a cool place, with a storage period of ten months.
