1.Performance and use:
It is mainly used as hair curling agent, depilatory agent, low-toxicity or non-toxicity stabiliser of polyvinyl chloride, initiator, accelerator and chain transfer agent of polymerisation reaction, and metal surface treatment agent. In addition, mercaptoacetic acid is a sensitive reagent for the determination of iron, molybdenum, aluminium, tin, etc.; it can also be used as a crystalline nucleating agent in the processing and forming of polypropylene, as well as a modifying agent for coatings and fibres, and as a quick-treating agent for blankets.
