Lithium hydroxide
CAS NO. 1310-65-2
Molecular formula :LiOH
Relative molecular mass:23.95
1.Performance and use:
Anhydrous LiOH is a white tetragonal crystalline particle or mobile powder with a relative density of 1.45g/cm3, a melting point of 471.2 ºC, and a boiling point of 1620 ºC. Lithium hydroxide monohydrate is a white, easily hygroscopic single crystal powder with a relative density of 1.51g/cm3 and a melting point of 68 ° C. When the temperature exceeds 100 ° C, it loses its crystalline water and becomes anhydrous LiOH. LiOH is soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, and easily absorbs CO2 to form Li2CO3 in air. LiOH and its concentrated solutions are corrosive and can corrode glass and ceramics at normal temperatures.
Mainly used in chemical raw materials, chemical reagents, battery industry, petroleum, metallurgy, glass, ceramics and other industries, it is also an important raw material for national defense industry, atomic energy industry and aerospace industry
