Nickel carbonate is a light green crystal at room temperature. Almost insoluble in water, more soluble in water containing CO2 than pure water, soluble in ammonia and dilute acid, insoluble in cold concentrated hydrochloric acid and nitric acid. When there is strong heat in the air, oxides are generated. Reacting with ammonium chloride solution can produce CO2 and NH3, while the remaining nickel (II) chloride solution
